Good winter canyon as it is classified as dry and we shouldn't get wet above our knees. Tiger Snake Canyon is a narrow, twisting tributary of Deanes Creek in the South Wolgan area. Abseiling experience is required and there is at least one climb down of 5 metres and 3-5 abseils with longest being 25 metres.. The canyon consists of two constrictions with the lower part being deep, dark and spectacular. As the canyon is out at Newnes Plateau it will be a relatively early start to the day.

A nice short canyon with five abseils and a few easy rock scrambles, a good one for beginners with some abseiling experience. A dry canyon with only one area where the abseil leads down to a pool, you can avoid getting wet by scrambling to the side. Wetsuit not required but recommend thermals and rain jacket in case of cool weather on the day. Longest abseil is 20 metres. Finish canyon at end of Grand Canyon walk and then we walk out the Pilcher Track back to the cars.
