Pantoneys Crown is a giant sandstone mountain in the Wolgan Valley north west of the Blue Mountains. We will climb onto Pantoneys and camp there on Saturday night. There are some great views from the top. The walk to the base of the mountain is fairly easy but the actual ascent requires some rock scrambling with some exposure so walkers need to be comfortable with this and also with heights. We can haul packs up with a rope if necessary.

One of my favourite walks in the Blue Mountains, we start at Neates Glen and the tracks drops us down and we walk through the canyon, the floor of Grand Canyon is absolutely stunning, we will do a detour via Rodriguez Pass and have lunch at Beauchamp Falls before we return to the main track and walk to the end of the walk at Evans Lookout for fabulous views over the valley below. Be prepared for quite a few steps. The track is in great condition after NPWS spent a number of years putting in new sandstone and wooden steps.
