Trips Program

We invite prospective members to take the oportunity to experience our activities and meet our members before joining our club. Due to insurance restrictions we can only allow prospective members to participate in a maximum of two trips. To participate in additional trips you must join our club.

All persons participating in our trips must be aged 18 years or older.

Bushwalk: A four swim day!

Using a car shuffle we will walk Curracarang Moors to Curracarong for a swim, Wattamolla for a swim, little Marley for a swim then Deer Pool for a swim. Hopefully there will have been rain and the creeks will be full.

Abseiling: 1/2 day abseil training session

1/2 day abseil training day for those that have never abseiled or for those that have not abseiled for a while and want a re-fresher. I will rum through the basics of abseiling and gear used and we will practice on some cliffs. Span loan abseil gear is available for loan.

Canyon: Serendipity Canyon

Serendipity is one of my favourite canyons, has 5 or 6 abseils and a number of short swims and a relatively short walk in and walk out of canyon. Abseil experience is required and wetsuit is highly recommended as the water will be cold. Span loan gear is available for those that don?t have gear.

Cycle - Road: Yacht Race Ride

Ride to Middle Head for a BYO picnic lunch and see the yachts heading to Hobart. This ride takes the scenic route to Middle Head. The ride returns to the start via a similar route. We start and finish at St. Leonards Station concourse.

This ride will be on whatever the weather. Bring a bit of lunch, a hat and sunscreen are essential, your bike lock, and something to sit on the grass, if you need to. Binoculars a great if you have them. We will have coffee on the way to our viewing spot at Middle Head. Please note: This is not a long ride, but there are plenty of hills.

Bushwalk: Mt Bushwalker to Clyde River

From Mt Bushwalker to the Clyde River via Claydon's Creek and return. 2 cruisy days in the Clyde River area. The first day will end on the Clyde River. The last day will be a return trip up Claydon's Creek. There is scope to have a second day and we can make our way downstream and maybe up Holland Gorge. This would mean a return on 25/12/2019.
