Bushwalking NSW
Span is a member of Bushwalking NSW. The Confederation lobbies on the behalf of bushwalking clubs on environmental, access and other political issues. The Bushwalking NSW site has useful information on bush safety, equipment and food as well various codes and policies. For more information, speak to the Confederation Representative within Span.
Bush Search and Rescue
Bush Search and Rescue is a volunteer association specialising in remote area rescue. The BSAR Website also has information about safety.
Hut Maintenance - Derschkos Hut
Span maintains Derschkos Hut in the Kosciusko National Park. Periodic maintenance trips are run to the hut and all members are welcome to attend. The hut is located at a beautiful spot near Mt Jagungal.
